Description
Pope Honorius [III] commands all archbishops, bishops, abbots, priors, and other ecclesiastical dignitaries that, since the brethren of the order of Knights Templar are accustomed to take a third of the all the goods of their men who leave an heir, and half of the goods of those who die leaving no heir or wife, and that some priests and clerics are claiming the brethren’s rightful portion by unwarranted harassment, such priests and clerics are to be subject to ecclesiastical censure.
