Description
Maldoven, earl of Lennox, has granted, and established by this his charter, in perpetual alms, to Paisley Abbey one saltpan which Amlaib (‘Amelec’) his brother gave them wherever they wish throughout his land of Lennox, with the liberty of having timber from his wood for their uses in perpetuity, and with all the draughts of fishing nets through the whole of Gareloch (DNB), to catch salmon and other fish, saving to Amlaib and his heirs every year in perpetuity a quarter of the salmon that they catch, as set out in the charter of the aforesaid Amlaib made on this matter.
