Description
Alexander, king of Scots, to Edward, king of England, informing him that the bailiffs of his liberties of Tynedale and Penrith have informed him that Edward’s bailiffs, Master Henry of Newark, archdeacon of Richmond, and Thomas de Normanville, knight, perhaps without knowing his rights, are molesting and making claims on these liberties on account of the aid recently imposed in England; he asks King Edward to command them to desist.
