- Pope Innocent III writes to the abbots of Melrose and Kelso and the archdeacon of Glasgow, noting that the abbot and convent of Dunfermline have complained that though they were indulged with liberties and immunities from indulgences and privileges of the apostolic see, clerics and layman in the St Andrews or Glasgow dioceses aggravate and disturb them and their monastery in many ways. The pope thus commands them not to permit the abbot and convent from being bothered, which is against the privileges and indulgences of the apostolic see; the molesters should be restrained through ecclesiastical censure.
