Description
Pope Eugene III writes to Bishops W[illiam] of Durham, G[illa-Aldan] of Whithorn, R[alph] of Orkney, Her[bert] of Glasgow, and to all the bishops in Scotland, reporting that Hen[ry], their archbishop (of York), has visited the apostolic see and been affectionately received. The pontiff commands the bishops to show him due obedience as their metropolitan.
