Description
Alan son of Roland, constable of Scotland, has given, granted, and established by his charter to Adam son of Gilbert the dispenser, for his homage and service, Airdrie (KCB), by the boundaries by which Gilbert his father held it from Alan’s father Alan, in feu and heritage, for the service of the tenth part of one knight. Airdrie is to be free from multure, and Adam can grind his grain at Alan’s mill at Preston (Prestonmill, KCB) immediately after the grain already in the hopper, unless that be Alan’s own grain or that of the church.
