Description
Abbot Geoffrey and convent of Kelso make known that since controversy called between Kelso and canons of Lanercost over church of Lazonby (Cumbria) was concluded by lord abbot of Newminster and priors of Tynemouth and 'Insula' (Lindisfarne), by authority of pope, Kelso Abbey has quitclaimed to said canons, by assent of chapter, right they had to said church of Lazonby. The canons of Lanercost shall pay yearly to Kelso 2 gold bezants at feast of St James at fair of Roxburgh
