Description
Abbot Thomas and convent of Dryburgh, for Richard, chaplain of Alan of Galloway; with common consent of chapter, have given a half ploughgate of land that abbey held in Cunningham (AYR) in territory of Giffen (AYR), which Alexander de Néhou gave abbey in exchange for 2 oxgangs of land that William de Néhou, his father, gave to abbey; Richard the chaplain shall pay for his lifetime 4s. at feast of St James in fair/market-day of Roxburgh, and also paying annually ½ mark which he and his heirs shall bring to abbey.
