John, bishop-ordinand of Whithorn, he promises to show subjection and reverence and obedience instituted by holy fathers according to precepts of canons to church of York and its canonically instituted rulers in perpetuity in presence of Fulmar, archbishop of Trier, and establish it on holy altar with his own hand.
