Description
David, king of Scots, to his sheriff and baillies of Lanark: due to the assize made by good and faithful men of the neighbourhood (patria), in the presence of the sheriff of Lanark, that the sergeand of the feu of his sheriffdom of Lanark used to receive 5 pounds for his feu annually from the profits of justice of the sheriffdom court and of the itinerant justiciar court when in the sheriffdom; he commands his sheriff to cause William of Dalziel, sergeand of the feu of the said sheriffdom and his heirs to receive the said payments.
