Description
David, king of Scots, to his justiciars, sheriffs, coroners, judges and other officers: because the abbot and convent of Arbroath, his chaplains, hold their lands in free regality by the infeftments of his progenitors kings of Scotland, none of his officers should interfere with their lands, as the abbey has its own officers. Since his coroners and other officers do interfere by taking fees, the king instructs and commands them not to do so.
