William, abbot of Melrose (d.1206)

Biography
Watt and Shead, Heads, 43: William was a master of the laybrothers at Melrose when he succeeded as abbot of Coupar Angus on 15 January 1200. He resigned in 1202 to become abbot of Melrose. He died in that office on 8 June 1206.
