William, official of Brechin (fl.1202×14)

Biography
Watt and Murray, Fasti, 75: William appears as official of Brechin between 1202 and 1214. Watt, Graduates, 582: William might also have been the chaplain of the bishop of Brechin and presumably had some legal training though he is not referred to as master. He might be the same as William del Bois, the chancellor, who occupies in his place in similar witnesses lists of the same bishopric 1211×14, and in the succeeding bishops, Hugh, 1212×18, and Gregory, 1219×22.
