Notes
Stevenson and Wood describe this as Roger’s first seal, but it must be his second by virtue of the dates ascribed to extant impressions. Roger's seals demonstrate the successive use of a single-sided then a double-sided seal by a high-status layman. Dimensions: 3 ¼ in. diameter. SW III, p.551.
