Second single-sided seal, used from the death of Patrick's father in December 1232. The single-sided seal depicts the earl on horseback (unusually) to *dexter*, wearing armour with a surcoat and a flat-topped helmet topped with two small flags. He is carrying his sword in his right hand and a shield of arms with a lion *rampant* on his left.
