- Duncan appears in the English Pipe Rolls as the husband of Christina daughter of Uhtred beginning in 18 May 1200 (CDS I, no. 308); by 1 Dec. 1208, he was married to Christina daughter of Waltheof (CDS I, no. 429). Duncan ended up selling his English lands in 1211 to pay for Christina daughter of Uhtred’s brother, Walter of Windsor’s debts (Lanercost Cart., nos. 24, 25, 26, 27), and it is perhaps more likely that this grant also took place before his financial woes. On the other hand, this grant ‘for the soul of his wife’ may have taken place after the death of Christina daughter of Waltheof. Duncan seems to have died between 20 Feb. 1226/7 and 1229.
